As a photographer, I can appreciate the other-world-like appearance of items shot in macro. Karl Blossfeldt, a photographer of plant life, published his book “Urformen der Kunst” in 1929.
As a method of demonstrating editing and redesigning in the classroom, I took some of Blossfeldt’s images and created a new book showcasing his gorgeous photos. Focusing in on complimentary color schemes, the images were all tweaked with a sepia-style of tone to counter the vibrant purple pops of color.
